A motor vehicle accident in Fairburn, Georgia early Wednesday morning, November 6, 2019, left one person fatally injured and seriously injured one other person.
As reported by WSBtv.com, “Fairburn police…were alerted to a wrong-way driver on Interstate 85 at around 1 a.m. Wednesday when they came upon a serious crash.”
According to the report, “[a] man in a BMW had been driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes and hit a gray Nissan. The driver of the Nissan, identified as a 26-year-old man, was killed instantly.”
11Alive.com is reporting, the driver of the BMW “was seriously injured and is listed in critical condition and undergoing surgery. He was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol.”
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
