Gunfire erupted near the Laurel Mill apartment complex Thursday night, November 16, 2017, reportedly claiming the life of 44-year-old Thomas Brown.
According to FOX 5 the shooting occurred “off Whites Mill Road” as Mr. Brown “was leaving the Laurel Mill apartment homes…in his car.” Mr. Brown’s 17-year-old son apparently heard the gunfire and rushed out of their home to help his father. Tragically, Mr. Brown succumbed to fatal injuries at the hospital. Police are still searching for suspects and a motive, per AJC reports.
The area was apparently the subject of a shooting and home invasion investigation in March, per CBS 46 reports.
