A motor vehicle pedestrian accident in Cumming, Georgia injured a man and two children Friday morning, November 15, 2019.
As reported by UnderTheGeorgiaSun.com, “[t]he Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department were dispatched to Buford Highway near Bonnie Brea Road due to several pedestrians struck by a car.”
According to the report, “a Forsyth County school bus was stopped in the right eastbound lane of Buford Highway to pick up students.”
AJC.com is reporting, “a blue Toyota Camry…tried to pass the bus and jumped the curb, striking the girls and the man on the sidewalk.”
The injured man was identified as “Jose Arturo Corejo-Nunez, 43, who is a relative of the girls. The sisters are ages 6 and 9,” according to the report.
All three victims were taken to to metro-area hospitals for their injuries.
According to the media report, the driver of the Toyota Camry “is charged with three felony counts of serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving, failure to stop for a school bus loading or unloading, driving too fast for conditions and due care while operating a motor vehicle.”
