A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles in North Georgia Sunday night, March 15, 2020, caused the tragic loss of a young child and injured two others.
As reported by AJC.com, “Between 10:30 and 11 p.m., the driver of a Ford Super Duty truck rear-ended a Ford Escape that was sitting at an intersection…[t]he Escape was sitting at a traffic light at the intersection of Ga. 2 and Blue Ridge Drive. The pickup truck’s driver…is suspected of drunken driving and being distracted, causing the wreck.”
According to the report, “[t]he wreck killed Cohen Zayne Bryson, 2, of Rome, and sent front-seat passenger Santana Kelley, 23, of Shannon, to a hospital with serious injures…[t]he Escape’s driver, Joshua Bryson, is at the same hospital with several broken bones.”
The investigation is ongoing.
