A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles in Coweta County, Georgia early Sunday morning, September 15, 2019, caused the death of one person.
As reported by Times-Herald.com, “a fiery collision on Interstate 85…occurred just after 5 a.m. Sunday near mile marker 40.”
A Pontiac G6, traveling southbound, struck a Kia sedan parked in the emergency lane.
Both cars caught on fire after the collision and according to the report, “the driver of the Pontiac was able to escape, while the occupant of the Kia succumbed to injuries sustained in the fire.”
The investigation is ongoing, the driver of the Pontiac was charged with DUI, per the media report.
