An accident involving two vehicles Sunday evening, July 21, 2019, caused multiple injuries.
As reported by MDJonline.com, the crash happened on Veterans Memorial Highway near Davis Drive at around 5:30pm.
According to the report, a black 2007 Dodge Caliber being driven east on Veterans Memorial Highway failed to maintain its lane and entered the center turn lane colliding head-on with a grey 2011 Chevrolet Malibu.
The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu, “Austell resident Carmen Pettiford, 18, was transported to the nearby WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell with non-life-threatening injuries,” per the report. The driver of the Dodge Caliber was transported to Grady Hospital in Atlanta with non-life-threatening injuries.
Cobb Police are handling the investigation.
