A pedestrian accident claimed the life of a man early Sunday morning, May 26, 2019. According to 11Alive.com, “Jose Ramirez Labra, 27, was killed in a hit and run accident early Sunday while he was walking along Dahlonega Highway.” Forsythnews.com is reporting, “[Mr.] Ramirez had left a home located near Dahlonega Highway and Sawee Drive and was walking north along Dahlonega Highway when he was struck and killed. They say they believe that he was hit by a motorcycle which then left the scene.” According to the report, “a black and green Kawasaki Z-1000 motorcycle was found parked alongside the roadway…the rider left the scene and is being sought by authorities.”
The investigation is ongoing according to media report.
