A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles injured multiple people Saturday morning, March 30, 2019.
According to AccessWDUN.com, “at approximately 10:48, troopers from Post 7 Toccoa responded to a two-vehicle crash in Habersham County…[t]he crash occurred on Ga. 197, south of Bobby Brooks Road.” The news report states “[a] 2012 Toyota Highlander…was traveling north on Ga. 197 and the driver failed to maintain his lane and crossed the centerline, striking an oncoming vehicle head-on…[t]hat other vehicle, a 2010 Toyota Camry driven by Patrick Godwin, 39, of Pensacola, Fla., was traveling south on Ga. 197.” The Driver of the Camry, Patrick Godwin, “was taken to NGMC by Air Life Georgia Helicopter,” and a passenger also in the Camry, Amber Krystine Horton, was “transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) in Gainesville,” according to NowHabersham.com.
The driver of the Toyota Highlander was allegedly charged with failure to maintain lane according to the media reports.
