A shooting at a Stone Mountain, Georgia gas station Tuesday morning, February 8, 2022, left one man injured.
As reported by 11Alive.com, “the shooting happened at the Valero gas station located at 5616 Redan Road in Stone Mountain.”
According to the report, “[o]fficers believe the man was at the service coin-operated machines when he was approached by an armed person. Police said the person shot the man and then left in the victim’s vehicle.” Per the report, “[t]he shooting victim is a man in his 50s…[a]t last check, he was recovering in the hospital after surgery.”
AJC.com is reporting, “the [suspect] arrived at the store about two hours before the shooting…In video footage, [the suspect] can be seen loitering there without buying anything until the victim arrived just after 9 a.m.”
The investigation is ongoing.
