A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicle injured two people early Wednesday morning, April 10, 2019.
According to WTOC.com, “Savannah Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a hit-and-run incident that happened at Victory Drive and Bee Road early Wednesday morning.” The news story reports, “a man driving a Mercury Grand Marquis for Adam Cab was traveling south on Bee Road with his passenger. At the same time, a Nissan Frontier pickup truck was traveling east on Victory Drive. As the Nissan truck approached a red light for Victory Drive, it went to the right of the vehicles that were stopped, crossed a concrete island and struck the Grand Marquis, which then caused the car to strike a light pole.” WSAV.com identifies the occupants of the Grand Marquis as “62-year-old Gregory Tremble, a driver for Adam Cab” and “[h]is passenger, Brian Friel, 48.” according to the WSAV.com report, “[Mr.] Tremble sustained minor injuries and [Mr.] Friel was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.” The driver of the Nissan Frontier left the scene of the accident but was later found according to the media reports.
The Traffic Investigation Unit continues to investigate.
