A motor vehicle pedestrian accident sadly claimed the life of a woman Monday, September 9, 2019.
As reported by 13WMAZ.com, Cordele Police Department “started an investigation after a person was found dead off the roadway Monday on the 1600 block of south Joe Wright Drive.”
According to the report, “someone hit and killed 54-year-old Ethelene Lewis while she was walking and left.”
WGXA.com is reporting, the driver of the vehicle “turned herself in to police on Tuesday.”
The investigation is ongoing.
