A motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle and a semi truck tragically claimed the life of three people Saturday night, March 30, 2019.

According to 11Alive.com, “Georgia State Patrol is investigating after three people died in a wreck on Highway 49 in Fort Valley Saturday night around 10:35 p.m….an 18-wheeler truck and car collided at the highway’s intersection with Woolfolk Road.”  Macon.com is reporting that a Honda “traveling on Woolfolk Road…pulled onto Ga. 49 and collided with a truck that was carrying fertilizer…[t]he vehicles burst into flames and both vehicles burned completely.”  Macon.com reports the victims of the wreck as “Precious Waters and Kearsten Robinson, both 19, of the Americus area…[t]he driver of the truck Georgia Harris, 55, of Macon.”

A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles and a semi truck tragically claimed the life of two men and injured two others Wednesday night, March 27, 2019.

According to MDJonline.com, “Steven Bishop, 57, and Tommy Johnson, 46, were headed south in a blue 2004 Nissan Maxima on Highway 92, also known as Hiram Acworth Highway, approaching Holland Road when their car crashed into a silver 2012 Ford Taurus just after 11 p.m. Wednesday.” “The Taurus was headed north on Highway 92, but got into the southbound lane while attempting to pass a burgundy 2000 Freightliner towing a trailer…[a]fter colliding head-on with the Maxima, the Taurus hit the left side of the Freightliner.”  AJC.com is reporting, “[t]he driver and passenger of the Maxima, Steven Bishop, 57, of Dallas, and Tommy Johnson, 46, of Dallas, were both killed.”  The driver and passenger of the Taurus “were both taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries.”

The collision is still under investigation according to media reports.

A motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles tragically claimed the life an unborn child and injured multiple others Sunday evening, March 25, 2019.

According to 11Alive.com, “[a] white Nissan Titan headed southbound on Winder Highway crossed the double yellow lines and hit the side of the grey Nissan Sentra…the driver of the Titan continued southbound in the northbound lanes and hit a blue Toyota 4Runner head-on.”  AJC.com is reporting that “[Christina] Barnum, 22,…was driving a blue Toyota 4Runner…[while] Joseph Barnum, 23, and Jason Barnum, 2, were in the car with her.”  The news story reports that “[a]ll of the passengers in the 4Runner were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.”  Sadly, “[i]nvestigators determined that [the] Barnum’s unborn child died as a result of the crash.”  According to 11Alive.com, “[a]uthorities said they believe the man driving the Nissan Titan was possibly driving under the influence of alcohol…[and] criminal charges are likely following the conclusion of this investigation.”
