An accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle left one person dead Saturday evening, August 17, 2019.
As reported by 41NBC.com, “the accident happened on Mercer University Drive at the Macon Mall Entrance around 7:40 p.m.”
Per the report, a Lexus RX350 was going west on Mercer University Drive, made a left turn into the Macon Mall, and collided with a motorcyclist going eastbound.
According to 11alive.com, “[t]he motorcyclist, identified as 46-year-old Stacey Harris, was initially taken to the hospital in critical condition” but was sadly unable to recover from injuries sustained in the accident.
The driver of the Lexus was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
