A Sunday afternoon bike ride turned into a hospital visit for a young boy in Augusta.  According to WRDW.com, “around 12:10 p.m. on Sunday, a 13-year-old boy was biking on 2nd Street and about to pull onto Duncan Road. A 2003 GMC SUV was driving south on Duncan Road when it hit the teen.”  Per the news outlets, “[t]he teen was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”  The driver of the car was not injured.

It is unclear whether the driver will be facing charges.

A motor vehicle accident tragically claimed the life of one and injured two others, Monday, February 11, 2019.

Three vehicles, a Lincoln, a Nissan, and a Toyota were involved in the accident on Beaver Ruin Road, according to AJC.com.  Per the news outlet, “[t]he Lincoln crossed the center turn lane and struck the Nissan nearly head-on,…[following which the] Toyota…struck the Nissan from behind.” “The driver of the Nissan, Erica Everett, died as a result of the crash…[while] two people inside the Toyota suffered minor injuries.”  According to statements from investigating authorities, the driver of  the Lincoln was “arrested…on a DUI charge…[and] will also be charged with failing to maintain her lane and first-degree vehicular homicide.”

A motor vehicle accident tragically claimed the life of one and injured two others, Friday, February 8, 2019.

WRBL.com is reporting the accident happened on “GA-109 approaching the intersection with Rock Mills Road around 1 p.m.”  The report indicates that ‘[a] Chevy Tahoe…reportedly ran a stop sign on Rock Mills Road [before striking a Scion XB in which]…44-year-old George Green” was a passenger.  Tragically, Mr. Green life was lost in this incident.  Mr. Green’s wife and son were also in the Scion, and the news outlet reports that they “were airlifted to Atlanta for treatment [and that]…both are recovering well.”

The accident is still under investigation.
