On Saturday evening, February 23, 2019, a “pedestrian was stuck and killed by a vehicle…on Peach Orchard Road,” according to AugustaChronicle.com.  WFXG.com is reporting “[t]he man was identified as 69 year-old, Willie Mims…[Mr.] Mims was crossing the 2500 [block] of Peach Orchard Road when a northbound car hit him.”

The investigation is ongoing according to media outlets.

A South Fulton motor vehicle accident tragically claimed the life of a 48-year-old woman on Sunday afternoon, February 24, 2019.

According to AJC.com, “[a] 48-year-old woman was killed Sunday afternoon when two cars collided at a busy intersection in South Fulton”  The news report states “The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Campbellton Road…[t]hey crashed at the Camp Creek Parkway intersection.”  AJC.com is reporting through Channel 2 Action news, “the woman, identified as Candice Prater…died at the scene.” The condition of the other driver was not released according to the news outlet.

AJC.com also reports that [r]esidents living in the area told Channel 2 Action News the traffic signal at the intersection has not been working…“This light has been blinking almost a week.”  “The signal was back to normal Sunday evening,” the news story reports.
