Update: The occupants of the pick-up truck who were killed in Thursday’s Henry County I-75 accident have been identified.  According to Fox5Atlanta.com, “the pickup driver was Jose Ibarra Yanez, 42, of Dublin, Georgia. His three passengers, all from Dublin, were Juana Adaliris Ortiz-Martinez, 31; Jaime Sanchez, 26; and Fermin Sanchez, 20.”

A motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles left four people dead and one injured Thursday, May 16, 2019.

According to AJC.com, “[t]he wreck, which happened at Ga. 20 near Exit 218 around 12:15 p.m., involved two tractor-trailers and a pickup truck.” According to the report, “a tractor-trailer hauling potatoes struck the rear of the pickup truck pulling a trailer filled with pine straw, pushing it into another tractor-trailer containing rubber particles…[t]he collision caused a fire, and all four people in the pickup truck were killed.”  AJC.com reports that the driver of the tractor-trailer that struck the pickup “is considered at-fault…[t]hat driver…was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Charges may be pending according to the media report.

An accident involving a vehicle and a bicycle injured a pedestrian Friday evening, May 17, 2019. According to WGXA.tv, “[t]he accident happened around 6 p.m. near the Colony West Apartments, located in the 5000 block of Bloomfield Rd. in Macon.”  41NBC.com is reporting, “a 9-year-old girl was crossing Bloomfield Road on her bike when a car…hit her.”  The girl was eventually flown to Egleston Children’s Hospital after initially being taken to Navicent Health in critical condition according to the report.

The accident is under investigation, and charges are pending according to the media outlets.

According to 11Alive.com, “the incident happened around 11:20 p.m. near the intersection of Alpharetta and Green streets.”  The victim was taken to “Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in critical condition,” according to the report.  Fox5Atlanta.com is reporting, “[p]olice say the driver was not injured, and they’re still investigating exactly how the accident happened.”
