A motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles left one woman dead Friday afternoon, May 31, 2019.  According to WFXG.com, “the crash happened at around 4:53 p.m. on the 2500 block of Tobacco Rd.”  At least 4 vehicles were involved according to the report.  WRDW.com is reporting, “Rosa Lee Roberson from Augusta died at Augusta University Medical Center after being transported from the scene by EMS.”  Per the report, “[Ms.] Roberson was the passenger of a vehicle that was not at fault and she was wearing a seatbelt.”  Several other people were taken to the hospital for injuries according to the media reports.

The incident remains under investigation.

According to 11Alive.com, “the accident happened in the area of Columbia Drive and Peachcrest Road.”  Per the report, officials are unsure if the children were in the roadway or alongside the road when the incident happened.  According to the report the children are stable.

A motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles left one person dead and one injured Saturday, June 1, 2019.

According to WTVM.com, “the three-vehicle accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on the northbound lane of Highway 185 near Smith Road.” The news story reports “the man killed was a 54-year-old Phenix City resident…[a]nother individual was reportedly taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.”
