An accident involving a tractor-trailer and a vehicle Saturday afternoon, July 20, 2019, tragically claimed the life of a Tavares, Florida woman.

As reported by AccessWDUN.com, “[t]he two-vehicle wreck occurred on Ga. 115 east of Dock Dorsey Road in White County at about 12:35 p.m.”

According to the report, a 2007 Freightliner tractor pulling a 53-foot trailer was traveling west on Ga. 115.  The driver of the tractor-trailer made an aggressive brake to avoid a collision with stopped traffic, which caused the truck to jackknife into the eastbound lane.  The truck then struck an eastbound 2001 GMC Savanna van.

WhiteCountyNews.net is reporting, “the van was being driven by Catherine Grant-Coons, of Tavares, Florida…[Ms.] Grant-Coons was fatally injured in the crash.”  The driver of the truck was uninjured, and charges are pending according to the report.

A three vehicle accident in Cobb County, Georgia Tuesday, July 16, 2019 caused injuries to multiple people.  As reported by CBS46.com, “[t]he three-vehicle crash happened at Bells Ferry Road near Adair Drive around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.”  A Ford Mustang swerved to avoid stopped traffic and clipped a Subaru Outback.  After hitting the Subaru, the Ford “careened into the northbound lane of Bells Ferry Road and collided head-on with the driver of a Toyota Camry, 19-year-old Tate Johnson,” according to the report.  The driver of the Ford and Mr. Johnson were transported to Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

A two vehicle wreck in Fulton County, Georgia killed two people and injured multiple others Monday afternoon, July 15, 2019.  As reported by Fox5Atlanta.com, the accident happened “Monday afternoon in the Union City area off Buffington Road and Royal South Parkway.”  According to the report, “a van carrying numerous people with special needs rear-ended a semi-truck.”  The van had departed [a] day center earlier that afternoon to transport the adults back to their homes.  Per the report, two people were declared dead at the scene, and all other victims were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Georgia State Patrol is still investigating the crash.
