A motor vehicle pedestrian accident in Austell, Georgia Tuesday night, January 14, 2019, tragically claimed the life of one person.

As reported by 11Alive.com, “it occurred at about 7:47 p.m. on Riverside Parkway north of Premier Lane. ”

According to the report, “[a] light-colored car was traveling south on Riverside Parkway in the left lane…[t]he pedestrian, identified by police as Jasper Arnold, stepped in front of the car as he was walking across the roadway. The car struck Arnold, and continued southward on Riverside Parkway without stopping.”

AJC.com is reporting, the driver of the vehicle was identified and located and “was arrested in the death of Jasper Arnold…[i]n addition to hit-and-run, [the driver] is charged with driving with a suspended license.”

A motor vehicle accident in Augusta, Georgia Saturday afternoon, December 28, 2019, tragically claimed the life of one person.

As reported by WJBF.com, the accident “happened on St. Sebastian Way and Jones Street around 3:00 p.m.”

According to the report, “15-year-old Marisol Ortiz, of Columbus, GA was the front seat passenger of a Silver Pontiac GTO going south on St. Sebastian when a car heading eastbound on Jones Street hit Ortiz’s car.”

AugustaChronicle.com is reporting, “[Marisol Ortiz] was taken to Augusta University Medical Center” but was sadly unable to recover from her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

A motor vehicle accident in Valdosta, Georgia Sunday morning, December 15, 2019, left two people fatally injured.

As reported by ValdostaDailyTimes.com, the crash happened “at the intersection of South Patterson Street and the Madison Highway around 10 a.m.”

According to the report, “John Douglas Lang, 84, and his wife, Marilyn Lang, 74, both of Jennings, Fla., were killed when their car was struck by a passenger van.”

The driver of the van was not seriously injured and was not taken to a hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
