An accident involving a vehicle killed a pedestrian Wednesday, June 5, 2019. According to AJC.com, “Tony Odell Thomason, 57, of Gainesville, was walking along Athens Highway near Wilson Drive…[w]hen he entered the roadway, a silver Nissan Sentra hit him.” CBS46.com is reporting, “[Mr.] Thomason suffered from serious injuries and he was immediately transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.” Mr. Thomason was later pronounced dead at the hospital according to the media reports.
The accident investigation is ongoing.
