Albany, GA – One adult teen man is dead and multiple others were injured after a shooting at a college campus Saturday night, October 19, 2024.  

As reported by 11Alive.com, “[t]he shooting happened around 8:50 p.m. in a crowded area near a campus concert.”

According to the report, “[t]hose injured were immediately treated at a triage site on campus before being taken to an area hospital for further care.”

13WMAZ.com is reporting, “[t]he Albany State University Police Department, local, and state law enforcement all helped after the shooting, which also injured five others: A 13 year-old girl from Albany; a 17 year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, both local high school students; a 20-year-old girl who was grazed by a bullet; and a 19-year-old girl who got hurt while running away.”
According to WALB.com, “Dougherty County Corner…identified the deceased as 19-year-old De’Morion Tayshawn Daniels.” 11Alive.com, WSBTV.com and the GBI identify the young man as “De’Marion Tashawn Daniels.”
The investigation is ongoing.
